We Are
Released in 2012, Van Stee’s debut album We Are features the popular songs “We Are” and “Color in the Paper Planes.” The leans into elements of psychedelia, surf rock and indie rock of the 2010’s. Recorded at Minneapolis studio Human’s Win and produced by Jake Hanson (Mason Jennings, Halloween, Alaska).

Released in 2018, Van Stee’s sophomore album Heartbreaker, Nervewrecker, Meansucker features the popular song “Blanket.” The album is darker in tone that their debut “We Are” and features Minneapolis musician Haley on the song “Here Comes the Fire.” The felt album art was created by Charlie and used in the stop motion video for “Here Comes the Fire.”
